Saving the tiniest community felines of Hays County, Texas
Who We Are
Our History
Tiny Angels Kitten Rescue began out of a desire to create a dedicated resource for young, vulnerable kittens in Hays County, Texas. The rescue was incorporated in July 2022 and began intaking later that year. After fostering and sponsoring the care for several cats and kittens in need, TAKR is ready to hit the ground running for Kitten Season 2023!
Our mission
Our mission is to rescue, raise, and re-home the tiniest community felines in Hays County and surrounding rural areas.
Our vision is that each kitten born on the streets will achieve humane, loving outcomes, and each community cat will live a full life without perpetuating the cycle of breeding.
Our Work
We prioritize the following types of cats for intake:
- Orphaned kittens age 0 to 7 weeks
- Nursing mother cats and their litters
- Medical or emergency cases
We pull our rescues based on reported findings, calls for help on social media, or the needs of our partnered organizations.
Our rescue kittens are raised in a nurturing environment tailored to their needs, and become eligible for adoption at the minimum age of 8 weeks. All kittens and mother cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before adoption or release back to their colonies (if too feral to be socialized).

This process involves returning to the area where an intake was found, researching the potential presence of a colony through observation and outreach, and launching TNR operations to stop any breeding problems at their source.
